Alan D. Lasko, CPA, CIRA, with over 30 years accounting experience, has specialized in the bankruptcy field for over the past 25 years and has broad experience in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases. His experience includes providing a wide range of accounting and income tax services to medium and small businesses. These services include the preparation of annual and interim financial statements, year-end income tax planning and preparation, as well as assisting with the bookkeeping systems of companies. Mr. Lasko also has worked with the owners of small businesses for their individual income tax needs.
Mr. Lasko has extensive experience in tax planning and preparation for individuals. He is responsive and takes the time to know his client’s individual tax needs and how to approach them.
Additionally, he has a specialty in working with troubled businesses, its creditors and their counsels. He has also served as an expert witness, made presentations to creditors and their committees, and worked with debtor and creditor counsels in formulating plans of reorganizations and disclosure statements. Last, he has also given speeches to various insolvency organizations and made presentations to debtors, creditors and their committees.
In addition to being a CPA, Mr. Lasko is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA). He is a member of the Association of Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors, the Turnaround Management Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the Commercial Law League, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society.
